For dinner, I made kabocha no nimono (boiled/simmered sweet japanese pumpkin) with some basmati rice. Making basmati rice is still incredibly difficult, especially in a rice cooker, but it could've been worse. The main problem was that I added too much soy sauce to the kabocha and too much salt to the rice, making this a saltier-than-I-liked meal ( Read more... )

That's because I only put the best, tastiest pieces of my life up on LJ. Sort of like that cookie you only have once in a while, and it's all the more special for it
