OMG, indeed!!! Damn it, it was only a matter of time before soemthing like this happened here. The whole thing is only a problem because the damn parent of the kid couldn't handle having to discuss nudity in art with their child. WTF?? This country needs to get its mind out of the gutter and stop seeing danger in sex and more danger in the sort of violence that killed six girls in an Amish schoolhouse in Pennsylvania. Oh, this makes me so mad!!!! Sorry to rant at you, thanks for the link.

I'll be telling a lot of people about this, including my friend who's an elementary school art teacher, whose principal wouldn't let her put on a production of HMS Pinafore, for some strange and unknown overly PC reason.

That's alright - it's very rant-worthy, after all...

I've read the article on www.fok.nl

It's just too... just too... uuuh just can't find the correct word to express my feelings about America, especially in this matter. These feelings are not exactly positive ;)

Uuuuh, I'm not even going to try ;)
Somehow this makes me proud to be European :-D

America, land of tolerance, of the free...unless your a dirty smut peddling artist you fiend!!! How dare you people claim that we're all naked underneath our clothes! I've had mine surgically grafted to my body to remain pure!!

heh heh heh, surely this teacher will be able to sue or get her job back elsewhere, I mean being fired because of nudity in art is just insane.

hehe Yes I read about that. She took her kids to see an exhibit about ancient Greece. Then one of the mommies complained and the teacher was fired.

They actually did an episode of The Simpsons on this subject a few years ago. The concerned mothers of Springfield wanted to put some jeans on the Stature Of David that was coming to Springfield.
