Quick question about fan art - does it have to be drawn/painted or would digital art (like Photoshoped graphics) count as well? I'm aiming to do my card with fic, but just in case... :)

Would a gun-fight or a battlefield scenario count, or does it need to have a physical component?

So long as it fits the prompt, any kind of physical fight counts, including a shoot out or whatever where opponents may not even actually touch each other with their bodies, but are still physically fighting. Does that make sense?

In regards to Competitive, you say sports-fighting, but is that only sports designed around fighting? Or do things like hockey fights count? How about like in Ranma 1/2 where anything and everything can be turned into a form of martial arts?

Hockey fights wouldn't count as they're not part of the sport (er, well they happen in the sport, but they aren't related to the game being won or lost), in Ranma 1/2 I would say the fights count if they're part of a fighting tournament that is in some way judged by a third party. I don't know the canon for that so IDK if that's how fights work in that.

The prompt is really about fighting as an entertainment or sport in itself.

Make sense?

(Though I think a hockey fight in an awesome thing to write, maybe for one of the other prompts).

Same kind of question - for Naruto fandom there is competitive fighting to determine who is going to be promoted/graduated, would that count?

I did originally intend for it to be fanfic only, but a few people have already written original and I'm totally not married to the idea, so have at it! Original fic is good too.
