but withholding them for FINES accrued by not attending CHAPEL SERVICES
Say what? Christian schools can withhold transcripts for not attending a required class, I think, but not if it's something that should be optional. If chapel services are not acredited, they can't do shit.

why you would be pissed, but wouldn't it be better for you to e-mail them or write them a letter...instead of plastering this on LJ and Myspace? Write a well constructed letter. Piss them off!

I contacted them by e-mail and phone even before posting this. I've spoken with the finance department where no conclusions were drawn as to why i would need to pay this fine. Then I was transfered to the Dean of Students. He was not in so I left him a brief message explaining why I was calling and asked him to contact me as soon as possible. It's been three days, I've left three messages. My posting of this on myspace and livejournal, as you so graciously pointed out, is a result of frustration, it's not just a rant with no responsible actions behind it. I need the transcript to give to HCC so I can plan out my courses this summer to be able to graduate with an AA in ample time, ultimately allowing me to transfer to a very expensive four year school with substantial aid. I don't have the time or money for any of this shit.
Now, I have not been on my Livejournal in I don't know how long, and imagine my surprise coming back to it for old times sake and seeing this. This is the Nathan Johnson I know and love. It really is a treat to have read this. I am not even going to look at anything else. I got what I came for- and it only took me 15 seconds.
