A new community to post J-web translation is a good idea. Personal LJ has limited number of friends that you can add but a community doesn't have this issue. I also personally feel that community is better than forum coz you can tag your post and it will be easier for members to search old posts. And I believe you will have much more control in community compare to forum. Just my suggestion though. I accept anything that you wish to do after this. And also ARIGATO for all your translations. I should leave more comments... ^^;;
i think LJ community is good in order to share your translation ne..forum will be hardwork and need mopre than one mod to handle..don't worry dear..your proposal didn't trouble anyone who loves your work (^_^)

Long story short, do it only if you want to, like you want to go back to a private journal or you're reaching the friends limit or something, but don't feel obligated to. This journal works great for me and I'm sure most of us here!
Though a pure arashi translation journal would be nice too, where translators can collectively post their work for easy access to all and people can make requests and stuff. But that's a lot of extra work and I admire any one willing to take that project on.

IMO a separate community would be best; you might eventually reach your friend limit on here (or I don't know, have you already?) and will have to find a different solution eventually I'm sure so why not just do it now? I think a community would work best. ^_^ Good luck with whichever option you choose, and if you're looking for any mods, I'd definitely like to try for a position, or if there's anything else I can do to help please let me know. ^_^ Ah, and of course thanks for your continued hard work~
From what I remember, I think personal journals can only add up to 2000 friends. If you feel like you want to create a place to share with more people, than a community is definitely a good idea. However, the problem would be moving all your entries over (if you wanted to move all the older translations in this journal to the comm), which might be time-consuming. I guess this is where co-mods would come in handy :) And I second the idea of having only mods post to keep it free of spam.
I just hope you do something that you are comfortable doing :) Don't overexert yourself!
