I'm applying to UNR for the Fall 2011 semester (well, I will in February, when applications are available). For the nursing program. I want to be a midwife. It's too bad I couldn't have figured it out before spending 4 years and several thousand dollars on a TV/Radio degree. But hey, if not for Ithaca, I wouldn't have met some of my closest

Elli! I miss you lovely :-) I'm sorry that TV stuff isn't working out - I feel pretty chewed up by it myself at the moment - but I can see you doing really, really well at midwifery. I hope you get into the program you're looking at...and I am absolutely certain there will come a time in your life where that video production degree will come in handy ;-)

Where is UNR?

Reno. University of Nevada, Reno. But it's only a 40-minute drive from my parents' house, which is about the commute I currently make to work. So with things in perspective like that, commuting from home now seems much less daunting than it did when I was 17.
