Indeeeeeeeeed. Though it's always weird when everyone in a place is friendly save for ONE person, and it's not like that just started today with my complaint. In fact, if she was nicer, I probably would have just talked to her. Whatever! Better coffee! Woo hoo!
Grrr! It's not that hard to make an iced drink! Those little lines on the cup are there to signify when to stop pouring the milk, etc so you have room for the ice! She's just stupid. But at least it was somewhat better...and free! Great job Amy. :)
I'm glad you said that, because, seriously, there ARE specific ways to make Starbucks drinks, which is one reason so many people like them! It's great to be here or back home or in Louisville or in New York and GET THE SAME DRINK. There are beverage manuals; I've seen them. And different colored/sized scoops for different sized beverages! And LINES ON THE CUP!
Yeah, it's definitely better, but I'm with you - she IS stupid. It's really not that difficult! I feel better, though, and, yes, yay for free drinks!!
What's great is that only an ex-barista can precisely diagnose what's wrong with their drink. Like, I find myself doing shit like that all the time if something's slightly off when I go to Hobknobbs. It's hilarious.
It's SO true. I have baristas ask me all the time, "Did you used to work at a Starbucks?" Plus I guess you just GET how beverages work, you know? Stuff does have to blend or be added in a certain order.
(It's great how many former baristas are on my flist.)
