I guess because it was just an in-store performance, and not an actual concert, I wasn't expecting the whole delightful gang to back up Neko last night at Amoeba, but I suppose they were all with her for the Tonight Show performance (tonight, kids, set your Tivos!), so I'm hanging out in front of the stage waiting for the darn thing to start (and ( Read more... )

FLOTARD! I wonder what they're going to sing tonight? It's hard thinking of any of it as television-ready. Or, ALL of it as television-ready. You know.

Hey, send some of that awesome new-job mojo my way, mkay? That sounds fantastic. I could use some.

If I was a bettin' lady (which I am not), I would say "Star Witness" or "Hold On, Hold On", but I don't know! I was just talking with a friend last night how it's very odd to think of Neko on TV, much less Jay freakin' Leno. It's going to be surreal.

I'm sending you all the new-job mojo I can! It's good here. And the thing was, it was good before, but this is a new level of good.

FLOTARD!

Oh my god, the icon. You're awesome.

I'll balance the bet with a few on "Teenage Feeling." Right? Short, but marketable. Also: great.

Oooh, good idea with "Teenage Feeling". She closed the set with that last night, and I think it might be one of the more marketable, if not the most marketable, on the album.

Every time I've seen her, she's opened with "Favorite". Has that been the case for you?

Do you know, or work with Stuart Gottisman and/or Michael Bolman? Those are my roommates friends I was telling you about.

Michael Bolman or Michael Vollman? I don't work with or know of Stuart.

Yes, it's Voll, not Bol. He's not your boss, is he? LOL!

No, but I am good friends with his assistant! He was next-door to my boss' office at DreamWorks, but now is on the first floor. He is a great guy and I wish I got to do more work with him, honestly. Everyone I know has the utmost respect for him personally and professionally... and I am not sucking up because he's an exec. Just a nice, cool, smart guy.
