Has This Happened to You?

Has it ever happened to you that when you need to be healthy the most, you get sick? Yeah, it never ceases to fail that whenever I have projects, or papers due and I really need to be at class, I get stupid sick. Never fails. Best part about it I've missed two three hour classes in two days. Both of them art classes, and both of them I've really ( Read more... )

Sounds like you've been stressing yourself out. You work yourself up so much that you end up getting sick. It happens to the best of us. And this is the season for illness to start cropping up again.

Just take care of yourself. Relax and try not to make yourself worse.

You're probably right, even though I try to pride myself on not getting stressed about things. Good thing is I'm already starting to feel human again!

Stress gets the best of us sometimes. Even when we aren't even aware that it is. Just because you aren't pulling your hair out in clumps doesn't mean you're not feeling it. School and work are both wonderful catalysts for stress. That's why it's so important to make sure we don't burn out.

I'm glad you're feeling better though. Take it easy!

^^; I haven't gotten sick yet even though grad school is starting to lay it on thick. Though, Florida weather helps too. *knock on wood*

I never got the chance to ask how your classes were doing! I've always loved english class (for some reason). In most cases, if your teacher is good, they'll give you interesting books to read. I've actually never read (or seen) the original Alice in Wonderland stories, only heard about them or seen things related to them. The most I ever got from Alice in Wonderland was from the most recent movie. (Very weird, but visually interesting)

Not to give you more things to read (since I'ms ure your english class has that covered) but I imagine that you'd like The Once and Future King by T.H White. Of course, I think anyone who picks up that book would like to read it, it's just so easy to read. XD It's about the life of King Arthur, from childhood to his death, even covers Lancelot as well as the four Orkney brothers and their mother. Great book. XD

Ooh, another book to add to my 'List of things to read when not doing school things' reading! :D I will definitely look into that. And I will be posting another journaly thing regarding my classes in the next day or so.

And on a side note, yay! Having friends is AWESOME!

Well if we are all recommending books, I think you should read Hitchhiker's Guide. It's more sci-fi-y than fantasy but it can have just as many wtf moments as alice in wonderland and the looking glass. it's also epically hilarious. just putting that one out there, in case I hadn't already suggested it to you before.

Yes! Absolutely, I've wanted to read that once for a long time now, just haven't found the time to do it yet. It has been added to the list.
