You seem to write posts about this subject an awful lot. I think you might need to lower your expectations of other people. If someone hasn't called you in 3 years, I'm assuming they don't really consider you that good of a friend anymore and relying upon them for support is probably a bad idea.

Both of which have been considered and are the reasons for the "accomplished" mood. Honestly, I think it's because of my brother and my dad dying that I have a harder time letting go of people I've known for so long because I think, "well, what if they died? That would suck." You know? But duh, that's uncontrollable and I understand that people die, so whatever. But I really think that may be the thought process behind the not-so-awesome and just realizing the way things are in a relationship between myself and someone I've known forever ( ... )
