being in university i can tell you that if you're taking my kind of courses (languages and linguistics) you'll be able to make it to third year having produced nothing over a 300 word limit. (won't do much for your work ethic i'm afraid, but it'll help you sleep more.) and as for starting now, my sister's 23, she hasn't begun first year yet.
just putting things in a little bit of twisted perspective granted, university might not do much for you personally or mentally, but unless you plan on being an entrepreneur, most of the better jobs require some sort of university education.
btw, to keep costs down, don't live in residence (if you do decide to go)
or you know, you could always just look for a sugar daddy.
Yeah, in university I'd be focusing on theatre and related drama courses tossing in english classes and a psych class or two. Unfortunately, making to third year doesn't earn the diploma and without the actual piece of paper - which doesn't guarantee a job at all in the field I want - making it that far doesn't matter. It's all or nothing with university; costs too much to do it any other way
( ... )
i think in september she's going to try for the fifth time to start something to do with human biology.
anyways, if you don't feel like buy cds you could always pirate them. right?
as for launching a company, you'll likely want a loan, a business plan(which you'll need for the loan, not to mention the fact that it'll make you work everything out beforehand), several books on the legal issues that your company might face, and also a book on the legal procedures (registration, etc.) to start your company. I'm sure there's an organization somewhere that'll help you get this all sorted out.
unless i'm completely off, and you're referring to a theatrical company, and then i'd say... erm... sleep with someone important with lots of money?
Yes, I could pirate them. If I had a burner or the desire to rip off the artists. Sadly I have neither.
Good luck to your sister, hope she makes it this time. Especially since that may be me in a few years myself.
And very logical advice about the company, I'll pass it along to my producer and see what we come up with with that too. Yeah, theatre... meaning, sheesh, I'm gonna have to take that artistic director's flirting seriously, aren't I?
Thanks for the second installment of comments on that rant though. And go read your journal for my odd comments too! =P
Could you do me a favor?hornz_n_halozJune 6 2004, 00:05:17 UTC
