Note to Dog

I saw in the LJ frontpage a community called note_to_cat and immediately had to follow. I could only imagine some of the humor a cat owner like myself would find there. Beautiful post. I think its good to remember that you could not have known then what you did now so there's nothing to feel guilty over. 11 years is up there for a dog and your feelings now are truly indicative of how you fet about Smokey, and I'm sure he would have picked up on that. Its my belief that dogs form true empathic bonds with their families; not that I have any real proof other than being a dog owner.

Do you think animals have souls?

That's a good question. I think so. Where again does it say that only human beings have souls? I'm sur eit's in the Bible somewhere, but I am not as familiar with it as many. And my other question would be why would humans be the only ones to have them? I've thought a lot about your question and I cannot come up with an argument against the idea, other than citing religious belief. My pets certainly have personalities like the rest of us, they just communicate in different ways 9and have no opposable thumbs). And if you believe that you meet your loved ones in the afterlife, why wouldn't they be there ith them? I love them like I would my child (for now they are my kids) so..why not? interesting questions..
