Bad Mother

I feel absolutely horrible right now. I just noticed my cat Myra drooling and decided to take a look in her mouth to make sure nothing was stuck in there, and grabbed her toothbrush (yes, I TRY to brush her teeth, I usually lose the battle) and to my horror she is missing one of her big teeth (incisor I think). Aw, I'm sorry to hear about your kitty. :( *hugs* Don't feel too bad - dental cleanings really are expensive, and enough to make anyone think twice (or more!) Cats are also challenging because they typically don't let you know when something's wrong (maybe that's where everyone's mother gets that "don't want to make a fuss" instinct--?) At least you caught it, and you're getting her in quickly. Sending her some pets from me and a couple of nose-beeps from our cats. =^_^=

As a followup - she did great at her visit, and the vet said at her age "those things happen." She even seems a lot happier and snuggles with me a lot more now that she's had it done, so maybe she was hurting. I'm glad I got it done for her :)
