[Well things were starting to get ugly again. Even though the killer was sent back home, there seemed to be more trouble stirring anyway. Least to say, the Sweeper didn't like it it at all.]
Mr. Vollfied? Is something the matter? [Your home-body of a daughter 'housekeeper' isn't exactly sure what's been going on recently, but she can tell you're concerned.]
The High Priestess of this town announced a curfew. She highly advises we remain indoors while it's dark out, but has not told why. Whether she's doing this intentionally, or she truly doesn't know doesn't excuse the fact that we're still in danger.
So please refrain from going outside when it's dark out.
The High Priestess...? [She wasn't really familiar with her. Come to think of it... hadn't she gotten a message about something like that...? She should really pay more attention. Actually, as soon as she's finished speaking with Sven, she's going to go see if she can look that up one more time.
But, oh no... This sounded like something serious. What if some people got trapped outside? What if they can't get home in time? Would they get hurt?]
Nothing substantial. I had the chance to talk to the "High Priestess" today, but I didn't find out anything that wasn't already known. The coral houses their god, apparently. She called it their "great protector."
Everything seems to be centered around that coral -- and there's some kind of protection around it, I couldn't manage to get a sample of it. It seems impervious to harm.
[She looks thoughtful.]
They're probably monitoring these phone lines, but there's no guarantee they don't have the entire place bugged somehow. So I guess it doesn't matter.
I spoke to her too, and I'm hoping she'll follow up with another broadcast explaining why.
Regarding the coral, it seems like we'll need more time and digging to figure out what it's really all about. I also don't doubt these aren't bugged or hacked, so everything after this will have to be done in person. At least that way we can obstruct signals with white noise or something along those lines.

She seems to be quite skilled at evading questions. I get the feeling there's only so much they're willing to tell, and I wouldn't believe anything they do tell us, personally. From what I can tell so far, they need us here -- there seems to be something about us powering the coral. Have you noticed the number of people who possess some sort of supernatural power here? Apparently it drains their power to power the coral, and possibly the barrier.
[A pause.]
I'm not sure why we're here. Maybe your Glaspar Eye qualifies. Have you noticed a difference in its functioning? And I suppose I could be here for my extraordinary beauty and talent.
[She looks pissed for a moment.]
This place better not affect my looks. I will rip someone's head off.

Is there anything else we can do?

We can do nothing directly, but we can make sure others remain safe, and that's by making sure they retreat in doors.

Since it wouldn't be wise to stay out for long, I suggest meeting at the library.

I'll meet you there.
