Very Random Update

May 26, 2007 20:29

So, I found myself dodging schoolwork... nothing new there, of course... and decided to check out lj. I read through my friends page and then went to click the "Previous 50" button.... and it's not there!! Ack! Apparently lj is now discriminating against losers like me who can't be bothered to read lj more than 4 times a year, so I'll just have ( Read more... )

You already know my biggest news which is that I came home. I also had an anniversary at one point (March 24 to be precise) and posted lots of pictures. You could just scroll through my posts in search of picture updates.

Am I allowed to request a wedding date? ;) I'd like for it to be in May because I may be gone in June and that would be just horrible and not allowed. Your proposal sounds so sweet and amazing! I'm so excited for you! :D

I'm going to try to get a job doing research at another university. They have strict start dates and don't tend to let you leave once you've arrived.

Congrats, honey!

Waffle House is hiring. (Ok ok, just kidding :)

What kind of job do you want? Retail? Office? On campus?

on or off campus and ending before...7 or 8pm. I have to attend every soar session, so I need 3 nights a week free at least. I'd also like a flexible schedule so I can take off wednesdays and thursdays to be with James on his off-days. Any ideas?

(sorry I commented from the other journal before)

Daytime job then, and not too many hours per week because you only want to work Monday, Tues, Fri and possibly weekends...

on campus: Candy shoppe/SAC game room attendant, Info desk, receptionist at Cone, SAC food service, parking enforcement (meter maid/permit checker), greenhouse, library, various departments (receptionist), Rowe (ticket counter).. You'll pretty much have to stop by or call to find out if there are any jobs.

Off campus: Restaurant (lunch shift?), public library, retail (mall, grocery, drugstore, goodwill), tutoring center (Kumon, Sylvan etc), or try to get babysitting/nanny type job. Check craigslist!
