The Phantom of the Opera Revisited - 45 icons.

(Notes: I read Susan Kay's Phantom recently and it kind of sparked a re-interest in this story for me. This set is relatively Christine/Erik-centric and includes several black and white variations, and even a few attempts at, gasp, text. I realize that I am getting a bit excessive with the center crop ( Read more... )

Attempts at text? Lol. The text ones are fabulous! I especially love 43 and 44. And generally all the rest of them as well. The coloring is so subtle; it's lovely!

Thank you very much! :D

Thank you! That is very good to hear; you have no idea how long I fiddled with those, and still I am not 100% satisfied if the result. Text is my greatest weakness-I have no talent for it, but still I torture myself now and then by attempting it. :)

I really loved it, for the most part! I devoured about 3/4th’s of the book in a matter of hours, but as soon as I got to the actual PotO part, I found it a bit hard to finish. I think it was mainly Christine POV that threw me (I really want to like her character, I do, but she often makes me *headdesk*). Of course, now I finally get all the hoopla over Kay’s version of things-it is such dark fun. It made me love the character even more, if that was possible. I got it from the library, but I think this might be one book I eventually end up buying.

I hadn’t either, but it was quite fun to rewatch. I do not adore the film the way I once did, but I was amused and it still made me smile, so that’s something. ;)
