It made me indescribably happy that the BBC showed Sister Act 2 on New Year's Day. Props to whoever scheduled that. It certainly did feel like a good omen. I switched on the TV, feeling shit, and what appeared? Whoopi saying: 'Let's get one thing straight, my DEAR Amal. I am not, nor have I ever been, a Las Vegas showgirl. I am a headliner!' And then that joyful, joyful rendition of Ain't No Mountain High Enough.

I made everyone i was with watch it, we turned it on right at the start, which was awesome. I think by the end there was a tear in everyone's eye.
