John's reaction to Sherlock's apology is wonderful. Poor John. And poor Sherlock, actually.

I doubt anyone but John would be so accepting. :P He's going for sainthood. Thanks for reading!

Sherlock's mishandling of guns bothers me tremendously: shooting walls, scratching his head with it, shooting in the air to alert the police in "Scandal" without a care for where it comes down! (A boy in my area was shot in the head on New Year's Eve this past year by a bullet on its descent. Why do people not realize this happens? He could have died, and he was badly hurt!)

So I can totally believe Sherlock wouldn't take a ricochet into consideration. He needs to keep practicing his apologies, though!

Poor John!

I feel the same. For someone that's a genius, he's an idiot when it comes to handling guns. Hopefully John will be able to smack some sense into him. :P Thanks for reading!

John. I think you might be in running for most patient man in England, if not the world.

Sherlock weapons are not something you can improvise! Especially when you have a tendency to remove extra bits of the equation, like innocent bystanders.

Also, ouch. But it's a damn good thing that the bullet didn't actually end up inside of John, because he doesn't need another one.

Yep, we need to start calling him Saint John. :P On the up side, I think it'll only take shooting John once for Sherlock to learn to be more careful...

Oh my, this came out very well written indeed. The beggining is wonderful because it is so very John. The being shot and still, honestly, not being truly angry with Sherlock. Certainly he wants to teach him something, but otherwise he's fairly resigned.

With Sherlock's apology, the truly awkward and honestly Sherlock response that it was, John being amused was great. Brilliant, the whole story. I got a wounded and amused John and an awkward Sherlock from this. Perfect!

Thank you so much! When I orginally thought "Hmm, John should try and make Sherlock realize he was wrong", I had to snort. It wouldn't have worked with anyone else - the man has the patience of a saint. I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it. :)
