So I can totally believe Sherlock wouldn't take a ricochet into consideration. He needs to keep practicing his apologies, though!

Sherlock weapons are not something you can improvise! Especially when you have a tendency to remove extra bits of the equation, like innocent bystanders.
Also, ouch. But it's a damn good thing that the bullet didn't actually end up inside of John, because he doesn't need another one.

With Sherlock's apology, the truly awkward and honestly Sherlock response that it was, John being amused was great. Brilliant, the whole story. I got a wounded and amused John and an awkward Sherlock from this. Perfect!
