Wow! Mycroft needed to be taken down a peg or two, and your John was just the right person to do it.
Mycroft in Series II does some really explicable things. I doubt we will ever find the reasoning behind them, since I suspect they were written in for convenience and not for the sake of character consistency.

Those odd character turns that are purely for plot convenience bug me so much. I prefer to think of Mycroft's actions as having some hidden reason, like in methylviolet10b wrote them in Common Language Infrastructure. Doesn't mean John can't still shoot at him though... :P

I do love a BAMFY John with a dollop of angst. By the way, that "poster" is part of a set that i saw on tumblr... very funny. My favorite, and the only one I can remember now was that after being kidnapped by Mycroft he atill had the presence of mind to flirt with Anthea.
