Someone else already mentioned it, but Velvet Goldmine is very gay and very pretty with a very naked and very full frontal Ewan Mc Gregor. Pillow book, while it does have a very naked and very full frontal Ewan Mc Gregor, it's the sort of movie that makes me question what the director was on. Weird stuff, that's all I'm saying. Then again, I've yet to see a Peter Greenaway movie that doesn't give me that vibe.

I loved both Poppy Brite books - I need to get the others when I've caught up on the stuff I've got now.

The Back Passage is tons of fun! I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered it but I enjoyed it a lot.

Well, from my corner of LJ, all I've seen lately is as lot of grumping because everyone's been sick and nobody wants to wait for October 4 anymore. Oh, and shit--I tend to forget the spoiler talk, because I don't read spoilers, but there's been a lot of that lately too. It's been kinda quiet fic-wise since the luau wound down. Half my flist is now obsessing over 'Supernatural,' while I, of course, sit and flail about (and slash!) Desmond.

Glad you've found something more palatable than AA. You always did sound rather skeptical of, bordering on irritated at, the thought of AA. I'm Ggad you're staying sober, and I'm also glad we have you back, especially because you always return with such enormous illustrated cocks amusing stories. :)

I'm actually writing Desmond/Penny now-- 0_0 -- but I slashed him too, and you can pretty well guess with who. (I've got a section for all things Desmond in my memories if you want to find any of these...)

I wrote Desmond with Sawyer, but it wasn't exactly a pairing story because they were both wishing they were with someone else. Shortish. Angst and R-rated sex. Desmond/Jack, and it's a bit nauseating. You like schmoop, I know, but it's not snarky J/S schmoop. Megan wanted me to write chivalrous!Jack. It's her fault. It's essentially Desmond hair porn, if that entices you. :)

ficangel wrote some Sayid/Desmond a long while back that was really interesting in terms of their character, and hot too, for all the brokenness.
