So I'm really starting to like country music for some reason. So anyone out there who likes country recommend me some good artists and songs. I'm looking honestly mostly in the depressing older sort, but some newer stuff is fine too as long as we aren't talking Toby Keith like.

Ack... I hate country... Although, I must say I'm really curious, in a horrified sort of way, as to what Shakira's country music sounds like... Yeah. I'll stop insulting stuff you like now.

Oooh honey. You need to listen to some old Hank Williams Jr. (not depressing, but GOOOOD) George Jones/Tammy Wynette (their stuff was deliciously tragic & sad as their marriage was a wreck because he was an alcolholic...so they sang about it! AWESOME STUFF!) Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson.....DANG GOOD STUFF. I also LOVE John Conlee (old stuff like 'Rose-Colored Glasses' & 'Backside of Thirty'.)
