I just checked my bank account & i owe the bank $265!!! How did that happen? Well... let's say Bank of America let AT&T charge me for my phone bill when i had 2 or 3 dollars left on my account, that they let Skype charge too and the US Embassy? WTF?! I paid cash cuz the bank rejected my card and now i see that it went through? And that the bank

En effet, tres bizarre! Du coup je suis endetee. Mes parents vont pas aimer ca du tout. :( Mais What the Hell! On ne vit qu'une fois! mdrrrrrr Du coup je vais depenser les sous qu'on m'a envoye pour mon shopping...expres! :D Apres on avisera. Je sais... pas sage du tout!

Ugh I've had that happen to me and it sucks SO BAD! Like, why can't you tell your bank to refuse to process charges that will overdraw your account?? This one time I wrote a check in April, then closed my account in late May. Apparently the company I wrote the check to didn't cash my check until frickin JUNE and by then my account was closed and I got ALL kinds of fees and penalties for bouncing a check with the company. WTF if they had just cashed it in a timely fashion this wouldn't have happened...

OMG. This is crazy. And it sucks. I don't think it's possible to tell your bank to do so, i guess they are counting on those overdraft to get money out of you later... and meanwhile it really sucks. What bank do you use hun?

That was a local bank i was using in Vermont. When I moved away I had to close the account because no where besides Vermont has this bank ( I have no idea why I got that silly account in the first place...) so then I switched to Wachovia last year and I really like it. I thought it would be a good national bank but then I moved to New Orleans two weeks ago and *SURPRISE* the entire Southeast has Wachovias EXCEPT for Louisiana! Now I have to find a local bank around here to get checks cashed, etc. *grumbles*

LOL. I did the same thing too: opened my 1st account in a local bank and then moved to Bank of America. Luckily Bank of America is everywhere in US & has partnership in UK & France.
