just finished watching Waters of Mars (spoilers, obviously)
Oh, Doctor...
"IT'S TAKEN ME ALL THESE YEARS TO REALISE THAT THE LAWS OF TIME ARE MINE, AND THEY WILL OBEY ME!"
You know things are just going to go downhill for Ten after that speech.
...and somewhere in the cosmos, the Master got a boner and has no idea why.
Oh, Ten... you're so delightfully messed up. I kind of wish we'd get a season of mad, power hungry, fucked up but good intentioned "TIME IS MY BITCH!" Ten.
Because he clearly wasn't saving them for because that was the right thing to do, he was saving them BECAUSE HE CAN! SO NYAH, NYAH! TAKE THAT LAWS OF TIME!
That whole conversation with Adelaide back on Earth, oh, his face (his eyes!) just reminded me so much of the Doctor when he punished the Family of Blood. Because it just harks back to that, doesn't it? If he lets himself go, he can be pretty goddamn vengeful. And now that it seems like he's gone completely off the rails, it does seem like we're heading down that path.
Oh, David Tennant, you're brilliant. He did the sort of cold, menacing thing so well.
His using his screwdriver has never seemed so menacing before...
"For a long time now I thought I was just a survivor but I'm not. I'm a winner. That's who I am. A Time Lord Victorious."
"And there's no one to stop you."
"No."
"This is wrong, Doctor. I don't care who you are, a time lord victorious is wrong."
"That's for me to decide"
Oh Doctor, the Master would be so proud of you.
Of course, Time smacks him down when Adelaide offs herself to fix the timeline, and Ood Sigma appears because Oods know all, and he realises that he fucked up royally. Then the Cloister Bell rings in the TARDIS, and it's like he's too far gone to care at this point if that small, defiant 'No!' in the TARDIS is anything to go by.
The Christmas Special better be goddamned epic. And judging by the preview, it's gonna be. ^o^

Oh yes, the creepy water alien monster things were pretty creepy. Yeah, I basically focused on the last what? 10-15 minutes of this episode. It was the best part!
