I already said it but congrats! And now we can ditch work together and hang out in the parking lot... maybe ill smuggle in you in the radio van and make you come run boring errands with me. lmao. Congrats again guy!
hell yeah! I worked the technical help desk at BCC for 2 years it rocked! I unfortunatly was only a student employee so my hours sucked, which is the one and only reason I didn't end up sticking to it another year. But being a "techie" was alot of fun. Congrats!
Thanks! I have a question for you though. I'm not well versed with Server 2003. Can you recommend any tutorials that I could take a look at so I don't go there on Monday looking extreamly stupid.
Well for the most part Windows 2003 server and 2000 server are one and the same. Most differences you'll probably not even notice. However here is are some tutorials on the basics.
From what I've seen and used of windows 2003 server the only big thing is Microsoft did a spin off of XP's improved memory management, only focused it more for multiple processes then indavidual. (This means nothing other then it will run smoother for you) and they did alot of security upgrades to IIS that 2000 lacked (which only makes a real difference if the server is hosting web/files/FTP ect. A simple database server like one that would keep student/employee records would see nearly no changes there.
