Ok ok-- I just came back and read this again and had to expand my last comment.

I don't know why--but this time it actually made me cry. Something about the tenderness here just broke through to me. I think I'm suddenly kind of in awe of you...

I love the section that starts: Sometimes Kris sleepwalks.

And this:

"Adam discovers the clocks when he is looking for matches to light the candles.
