Ugh, remind me again why I wanted to go to college?
No seriously, I want a reminder. I'm seriously dreading the moving day with each new hour.
Obviously I'll think differently on this in ten years time when I may have a job and a life and all that jazz, but honestly, now? I'm getting my books for my classes, and one book alone costs near $200. I know ( Read more... )

I feel the same as you about college- absolutely dreading it. I wish I could teleport to the future where I have a job & a strong financial backround. I don't feel like going to school again. :( I feel like I won't be able to handle it. D: I think that once you start classes though, you'll find what you're interested in and what you're not. Don't worry too much about what you want your career to be - college at least helps you decide that.

I don't like starting convos with people, either. Well mostly guys because I get paranoid too. But I'm glad it went well. ^^ I hate buying water & food in theme parks.. such a rip off!

I know, right? I've actually felt like that for months. I know we get more freedom in college, but it's still like high school: you do a bunch of work, and still go to school. Heh, yeah I'm hoping my college will help me with that, especially because I think I've managed to want a career in the most confusing thing possible. ;)

Heh, thanks. I can't help it, I just get paranoid about me being annoying, and if I think I'm not being annoying, then I think I'm being cocky. I can't win either way. Oh, I know! I usually wouldn't have bought the water at least, but it was my first time, and damn if I wasn't thirsty. ;)

It gets easier. Don't let the day-to-day money thing bother you too much right now. There is plenty of time for freaking out about that later...believe me. :)

Heh, thanks! I guess it would be better to have one big freakout as opposed to mini freakouts that lead to a big one. ;)

Four years ago, I was in the same position as you, I didn't like the fact that I was moving away to college (away from all my friends) and everything was so new (and expensive). But I can tell you that I just graduated college and I had the time of my life. I grew up a lot and had so many new experiences and made awesome friends. It'll be overwhelming at first, but you'll get through it. I

If you want to do something involving the Holocaust, then maybe you should be a history major and take European history classes. I minored in history and I had a professor that was a Holocuast expert. I'm fairly certain she wrote academic papers/books on the subject and served as a source for others. You could probably work for a Holocaust remembrance project/society.

I hope it works out well for you. If you need to talk about the impending college experience or anything, just let me know! :)

Ok, thanks, that makes me feel a bit better. Maybe it's cause this is my first major change in my life (I've lived in this town since I was three) so it's all making me freak out. I'm glad to know it gets easier.

Huh, yeah I've thought about that. I guess it all comes down to what they say when I start my classes. I mean, the high school counselors weren't really helpful when it came to that stuff.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate hearing that, since I probably will have more questions once the leaving date approaches. ;)

Great! Let me warn you now though, the second season is a bit rocky, since it's a new location, and in general, there are different shake-ups. They're still great episodes, but not as brilliant as the first season. However, once season 3 started, and everything was back on track, it was better than the first two seasons in my opinion. Then again, who knows, maybe you'll like the second season more ( ... )
