Quite the opposite - it was a smart move, both emotionally and financially. If you uncomfortable and miserable in your living conditions at the dorm, you would have had a rough time dealing with your academics. And if you were not truly getting your proper/useful classes, why bother putting up with it? This way you are getting the courses you need, at a much more reasonable price and with less stress on you.
*hugs* Take care!

Thanks so much, dear *hugs*. It helps to hear that from somebody else, so that I know I made a plausible choice. :)
Thank you!

I don't think you're an idiot at all! It actually makes a lot more sense what you are doing. I don't think people should judge someone because they are going to community college. College is a lot of work no matter where you go, and it all depends on the person! It's better to have saved your money & your time than wasted both of them and been stuck with people you don't get along with.

Thank you! :) I really do appreciate hearing that. It was such a tough decision to make and I only had, like, ten minutes to make it, and it helps to hear that it wasn't a bad decision. At least this way, I save money for when I go to school after I'm done with community college. :)
I hope you're doing well in school! :)

Hey, you did what was right for you and that's what you're supposed to do at your age. I'm proud of you for finding a new path (that doesn't waste money) and saving yourself from a bad college experience. You seem to have it under control for such changes, standing by your decisions and all. That's admirable. I hope the community college angle works out and you take classes you can use and like! <3 :)

Thank you so much! I mean it, it really helps to hear from others that I made a sound decision, since I had all of ten minutes to make such a tough decision. Thanks again! <3 :)

far from being an idiot, that was a very sharp and timely move. recognizing the situation for the bad fit it is and promptly finding and moving on an alternative that works well for you - only an idiot would call that a dumb move. good for you.

Thank you. :)
I appreciate hearing someone else say that, especially since it was a difficult decision to make, and I spent so much time wondering if I made the right one.

I think you made the right choice. Why waste money in a place you already hate instead of doing something useful that will help you.

I went through 3 years of univserty before dropping out and going to college instead. I've been there for a week and I already know it was the better idea.

Thanks :). It was so hard to make, and I only had, like, ten minutes to decide. This way I can take classes, and spend more time preparing for when I go to a four year school.

Well I'm glad that your decision ended up being good! :)
