Earlier this year I wrote a post suggesting that Richard Kelly plagiarised the ending of his Donnie Darko from that of Krzysztof Kieslowski's Blue. As nearly as I could tell, nobody had suggested this before. So I'm amused to find that the following line has since been appended (not by me) to the Wikipedia entry on Blue:

I love Wikipedia editors. "Though I can see they are similar, before I believe it, I'll need to see it written down by someone...anyone, really, so long as it isn't you, guy-who-edited-this-page."

Though I, personally, never need a citation for your claims, Pat...it's good to know Wikipedia has your back all the same.

You should write more blog posts.

I love that a link at the end of the line I quoted to a film critic making exactly the same off-hand, unsupported assertion would, according to the priorities of Wikipedia editors, make that line superior to a detailed and erudite but citation-free explanation of the similarity added to the entry by the critic himself.
