*hugs from afar* It is the 'wisdom' part that gets me every time.

See you soon.

The wisdom part certainly feels like the crux of the trifecta, no? I'm looking forward to seeing you next week!!

I wish I could remember that my needs are being served by all that comes to me - when it's in front of me! I think very highly of you. The way in which you deal with your life makes you the person you are. The approach you take is a great reminder to me of the manner in which I could benefit from positive acceptance of such "gifts".

I think highly of you as well, L. Gifts indeed... I hear that others get away with calling them "Another Fucking Growth Experience" ;) See you in a few weeks!

Rachel Naomi Remen has a brilliant essay about how approval is also a form of judgement, and a much more insidious one, because it feels positive but actually sets up a paradigm in which love is a performance-based assessment (I'm paraphrasing; I'll photocopy it and bring you on in KC)

Good luck. The only thing that has ever worked for me in these moments is to take deep breaths and the long view, so I offer that with great fondness.

Ooh, I really look forward to reading that. Breathing, and looking at the large and beautiful picture. It's amazing to step back in these moments and think "I'm learning something really important right now" . :)
