well i've been mainly fiddling around: watching movies etc..soon i'll have to use it for more serious stuffs like updating my cv etc but for now it's just random things. do you know of a site where i can learn how to use my mac to its full potentials? for windows, i could fiddle around and since it crashed so much on me i became an expert on windows issues ;P but mac despite its simplicity, baffles me because I am worried not knowing how to handle it if problems arise and i swear i don't like to rely on service centres esp if it;s something i can handle.
do you have an imac as well? it seems i saw one in your pictures..would you recommend geting one or apple will come out with a new model during the year? i heard their turn over for new models is 2 yrs? i miss the delete key though :/ fn+backspace is painful..lol
Honestly, don't worry about 'problems' macs are so intuitive that they rarely crash or have an issue that isn't simple!
I used to have an iMac but sold it before I went to New Zealand and got my current macbook instead (so i could take it with me). We are thinking of buying an iMac in September when apple has the deal where you get a free ipod and I can still use my student discount! I have an external monitor and keyboard and mouse hooked up to my laptop so it is more convenient than having an iMac, since I can unplug everything and use my laptop as it was meant to be used.
The Apple site is really great for troubleshooting. It is easy to navigate and you will find that whatever questions you have someone has likely already asked/answered! Now that you have a mac...welcome to the wonderful world of quicktime! :) I love watching movie trailers on the apple site, downloading widgets (the little files you get to by pressing F12), etc.
