I have had many ear piercings over the years, many of them are gone due to my bird stealing my jewelry and throwing it into oblivian. But I will tell you this, I had an orbital piercing for about six years and during the first 4 years I had keyloids. This is mainly due to our need in society to use phones. I didn't realize that was the problem until I switched ears. So try sleeping on your back a few nights, keeping your phone away from that area of your ear, and resisting touch/hair brushing that area for a while. Also sea salt sprays are super keen: http://www.h2ocean.com/ That stuff works wonders.

I"ve noticed that phones aggrevate them; unfortunately being on the phone is my job, and i have this in each ear, so there's really nowhere to go. I'm out of H2Ocean, and have simply not been able to get it yet.

I'm not really satisfied with the jewelry i have for them either. I just wanted little posts, but there aren't any small enough barbells, and regular posts are an invitation to keloiding, since my ears HATE anything they can detect as metal. I've been wearing these little loops that aren't bad, but jsut aren't what i got the piercing for.

try going through a website for small barbells such as barbells for labrets or fishtails for labrets

If you don't like where they are now, and they don't make you happy, take that shit out and let it heal. Then see where you want to go from there.

If you don't like it and it's disappointing, there's absolutely no reason to keep it. Luckily, it's not a terrible tattoo that didn't turn out the way you wanted it.
