The ConclusionOkie! I think we've covered this pretty well and, at this point, I think we'll veer more into harm than help to keep going. All I want to say is I'm totally against censorship and free speech is one of my highest values. Real life and fictional is totally different and if fictional stuff is raising money for RAINN, I see no problem with it. I'd say keep it the same way it is, it's worked fine for me and I just don't want to be involved in anything involving censorship.

Count me in the "pros outweigh the cons" camp, though I don't think I have anything to say on the topic that others haven't already said. If there are ways to protect participants from triggers, I'm all for that, but I would be sad to see entire (lucrative) genres erased from the auction--and I don't think it's useful to expect authors/bidders to negotiate on the side for goods that weren't offered.
