sad to hear of such a great environmentalist dying. even 'doing what he loved'. but i'm more sad for his widowed wife and young children who won't remember much of their daddy. he did have great passion for the environment, but i would choose to have a greater passion for my family. he decided to do something not so safe for a career and ( Read more... )

oh doode, i dont think he was selfish at all, everyone knew his commitment to his family, this was a freak accident. i heard a few people say this i duno, i dont agree. the family knew what he was about and he would of been half the person he could have been if it wasnt for his passion, in a sense it was his life. thats how the family came to be a family around this passion, to say its selfish i think is kinda off the mark, i duno

well we'll have to agree to disagree, the guy was a top bloke and a loving father and i just think its a shame to cast a darker shadow on what is a tradgedy. i dont know how its being portrayed in america, here hes being remembered for the great person he was, not only conservationist and spokespersom for australia, but a as man with a big heart.
we all got our own opinions, it just gets me i bit amped up when i hear stuff like that.
