Kelli/Destiny vs. Hurricane Ike

Kelli evacuated Friday from her home in Splendora TX. She drove to her mother's in Bryan, and they both evacuated from there also. Kelli packed a suitcase of expensive electronics and irreplaceable memories

It's Sunday noontime and I haven't heard anything from Kelli. I am sure that she is OK, I just want to hear how her house is (and her mother's) (and her park). She may not have service where she is driving and cell towers may be down, too.

Kelli called me from her mother's house. Mom's house in Bryan is OK, just som tree debris and she even has power. The school where her mom works does not have power, so she doesn't work Monday and mom will drive with Kelli to Kelli's house in Splendora, not sure at all what it will look like. All the reporters are in Galveston and Houston on the coast and have not been (or have not been able to get) to the inland cities, like Splendora. I think the eye passed over Kelli's town (an MSNBC map showed as much), and Kelli expects tree debris and flooding and maybe structural damage, but really has no idea because reporters haven't been showing that area and no one she knows in the area has been back yet to see. Kelli's dad's house is fine.

Also, Sarah/Sunshine's cousin in Houston evacuated to western Texas at a friend's, his apartment complex is OK, but he can't go home for at least a week.
