This is Halloween, this is Halloween...

Having recently been forced to acknowledge the dismal passage of time by way of my overdue cable bill, as well as the more pleasant process of the leaves changing color in the crispening (yes it is, Look It Up) air, I was delighted when it occurred to me that Halloween will be shortly forthcoming. This realization brought with it, however, a ( Read more... )

For one, I had the LARGEST crush on Tim Curry from The Worst Witch. Seriously I spent a good 2 years trying to find a poster of him in that costume and was always mildly curious why my mother thought that to be the funniest thing ever. Totally Oscar worthy.

I'm always excited by Halloween because it means I can get away with watching really awful horror movies and get away it. I keep dating these guys who aren't overly fond of horror movies so October seems to be my month of saying "Its Halloween, the tv is mine". That being said, so far, I haven't found any horror movies on any of the regular stations yet. I'm a bit disappointed.

I still go trick or treating because well, who doesn't want to dress up and get free candy?

If you're looking for some good Halloween fun, the High Noon is the place to be. The place is wall to wall people is fun and creative costumes and the music lineup is bands dressing as and playing the music of well known bands. I would highly suggest getting your Halloween groove on there. Also, bring your brother.

The Batman vs. Dracula. It's only 4 years old, so slightly new. Aaaaand... that's about it I guess. Haven't really kept up to date on halloween specials (Even thought the Batman one was newer than that). Besides that I always just sit around hoping that Simpsons will play their better Tree House episodes during their rerun times. The Raven will still aways be my favorite... the old uncut one, which I've never seen since the first airing. Quothe the Raven, 'Eat my shorts!'

I've never seen that, but I don't think I could get behind a movie that has Batman triumphing over the original Dark Prince of The Night. It reminds me of those kids in grade school who thought they could beat up their teachers.

Still, it might be worth checking out. I don't really know what I'll be doing for Halloween. *shrug* I might just do a movie marathon thing, so we could totally watch Batman vs. Dracula...
