I do my entries and they are set to public, yet they are still locked when I post, stoopid thing.

Any idea?

You may have done what I did in the past and went to the 'console' and set it so *all* future entries are friends only. The only way to make mine public are to go back and edit them, even if I set public in a client they're friends only until I edit.
