your plan sounds awesome sweetiedream. the thing is that you will do it for everyone else but then you'll start to get excited and really enjoy everything as well. it will become something you and your family will look forward every christmas in the future.

cooking and baking sounds like fun. any ideas for cookie recipes or a lunch menu as of yet?

yeah, it sounds good. how about making some sweet chex mix so that i can come over and eat. lol. they're so yummy. as for the decoration, i think that the fake christmas tree sounds good. the ones with the optical lights are pretty good. saves you money on buying the lights and the hassle of untangling the damn thing! ooh, you've got me so excited about christmas.

hey chibs! i just went to a craft fair this weekend and i have two words for you: BUTTER MOCHI! so ono! gotta put that on our "to make/buy" list. soon we'll be gorging ourselves out on mochi, andagi, and chex mix. aren't the scooby snacks good? sweet but sinful.

ready made turkey meal? papayainthesun November 9 2004, 06:05:27 UTC
sweetiedream here's an idea for your thanksgiving lunch just in case you don't want to spend too much money or be stuck in the kitchen. this year mom is going to buy a ready made meal from pacific beach hotel. it is a turkey, stuffing, pie, corn chowder, rolls and other side dishes that feeds a family of 6-8 for 72 dollars. the food sounds pretty good and we won't have to worry about cleaning the house for the family coming over and cooking too. just an idea.
