Hello, I was GD with my first son...that was over 8 years ago. I did the insulin and had no problems keeping it under control. Before I got pregnant this time, I was on oral meds for diabetes and had it way more than under control. I went to the doc on Monday and even though my #'s were "GREAT" They had to take me off of them and put me on insulin ( Read more... )

well, I didn't have troubles so much when we started the insulin this time, but I did have, and am still having, problems adjusting my dosages ( ... )

I was on Metformin for insulin resistance before I got pregnant but they took me off immediately when I got the positve result. Now I've got the gd diagnosis and they are trying to control through diet before they move on to insulin.
