Since I've never been pregnant I can't say, but I know lots of women who love having children but always talk about how horrible it is to be pregnant. It does seem that society tells us women are supposed to be so happy about it and never resent it, but maybe that isn't realistic.

Maybe part of the mental difficulty is that you are trying to fit this into our usual definition of sharing. This is actually a unique situation. This is REQUIRED sharing. At this point, you don't have an option but to share. It's like your mom forcing you to share your bubble gum ice cream with your sister because she dropped hers.

Sometimes we only share because we have to. Doesn't mean we have to like it.

My favorite pregnancy story (not mine, obviously :-> ) was years ago at an sf convention when someone got in a conversation with a fan who was ~7 months pregnant and was going on and on about the wonders of pregnancy and motherhood, etc. The pregnant fan waited until the other person paused to draw a breath and said flatly "I feel like I've swallowed a giant fish." :->

Hang in there, body. Brain, this state will be over someday in the near future, honest!
