okay this is going to be one LONG ASS update!!!!
well i've been on my vacation i look forward to since wednesday and i just got home not even 3 hours ago... so here's how my vacation went...
Wednesday- mom and me went to port city racing around 4 to wait for my dad to get out of work so we could go to Berlin... got to Berlin at about 6 pm then ate before going up into the stands... I'll tell you what i've never seen a more exciting race at Berlin... then after the race i got to meet a couple guys my dad works with including one of the kiddy crew Johnny Vandorn... he's a cutie... really sweet too.. maybe i can get a possible friendship going? *never know* then we drove to outside lansing and stoped at a truck stop to sleep...
Thursday- got up, drove to our campground that's right across the street from the track... then waited for Angie and her family to get there at about 12:30ish... once they got there we set up and then found out our generator didn't work so that kinda sucked but hey we didn't need it after all... then angie and i just sat and looked at pictures for a while until we went shopping over on our side of the street... it was a lot of fun and i almost spent all my money... i have $11 left, which is good with the prices of things at the track... then we came back to our campers and had a fire...
Friday- friday was a slower start it seemed like because we didn't do anything until after lunch and then we went across the street to go shopping!!!! even though what sucked was Kasey's Trailer was out of my size and out of the size below mine... it was bullshit... being only friday... oh well i didn't dwell on it too much... then we went back across the street to the other vendors for more shopping and then went back to our campers to get ready for the arca race and trackside live after... the arca race was good until Angie called me to meet her mom, brother and her down by the trackside stage... so i missed the last 20 laps... but o well.. i had more fun a trackside... well by the end of trackside we were pretty close to the stage... and angie got on this one cute guys shoulders to take pictures... then he asked me if i was next and i was like hell no... just because angie almost fell but he was really nice and got a couple of pictures for me... then after trackside we went back to the camper and had dinner and another bonfire...
Saturday- my day... started off not looking too good in the way of the weather and when we thought the rain lightened up enough to go across the street to the track and get by the entrence to pit road we were wrong.. once we got across the street the rain picked up and it started lightening... so we took cover under a random tent they had set up at the track and waited it out... then we heard there were tornado sightings in the area which freaked us out but where were we suppose to go? so we waited it out and then when the rain was light enough we went through the gate and under the tunnel to get to pit road... that was a blast.. it kinda sucked that i only got 2 autographs but Busch qualifying was rained out so that's why didn't get anyones autograph.. but i did get a picture with a driver and he noticed the port city shirts so he talked to us for a little bit... it was so cool.. but once we got done with cup qualifying we went and got something to eat as it started raining again... but it let up and the did get the Busch race in which sucked becuase Reed blew his engine within 20 laps of the finish!!! DAMN IT!!!!! but we did get to talk to Reed's Dad.. he was really sweet and said that we should've stuck around because he might've been able to let us stay on pit road :-) but we didn't :-( the race was alright and then that night Angie's family and my family went walking again... then had another fire.. but we had the drunks singing to keep us entertained.. it was f-ing funny... then around midnight Angie, Dave, my dad and i went out by the road to see how many people were in line to get into the gates... then it was off to bed..
Sunday- RACE DAY!!!! went over to the trakc at like 10 am to go into pit road again and get pictures of the cars and pit boxes... then Angie and i went into the infeild and saw KASEY KAHNE!!!! OMG i almost died!!! even though i did see him the day before walking down pit road... it was awesome though... then we got our pictures in victory lane and we got to walk on the track which was AWESOME!!! then we went back to our campers and ate lunch and packed coolers for the race... the race was good but bullshit at the same time but i won't go into that because this is getting pretty damn long... but then last night we walked a lot to talk and everything.. dave and i talked a lot last night which was really cool and angie and i talked when dave and i didn't... then it was an early night so we could get up early to leave...
Today- left the campground saying goodbye to angie, dave and their parents for a nother year... gosh i hate how the weekend came and went but hey next year isn't that far away is it? but i had the best weekend ever and i can't wait until next year.. i missed everyone here and i did think while i was on vacation about my mistakes and i can't change what i've done but i can change my decisions in the future... but i leave you with some pictures of this awesome weekend....
