This is what my dad said to me tonight:

"You may as well stop wasting your time waiting and looking forward to moving out. Even after you move out and start this better life you think is coming to you, everyday will still be horrible and all you will do is work and worry about bills and even then, when you've seperated yourself from all the ( Read more... )

i thought your dad was giving you some words of wisdom until i got to the part "you will still have not one person that gives a shit about you." well tell him i give a whole lotta shit about you. iono maybe he thinks thats good advice, but i don't. and they probably were proud of you back in the day, but now they've got other things going on that there just side tracked as to how good of a kid you are.

they will realize it some day. just ignore there negative shit, until they can be grown ups and solve there problems.

im apologize early, if that offended you. :) i love you amanda

It didn't offend me, no. But you just misinterpreted what he said. They were never meant to be words of wisdom. It probably would have made more sense if I told the whole story. He told me that if I was so tired of cleaning up after the rest of my family everyday and listening to everyone yell all the time, then I should just move out. And I said when I turned 18, then I would. And then I started talking about how much better everything will be when I move out, and then he said all of that. He was basically shooting down every hope and aspiration I have for myself, not giving me any words of wisdom.

I'll explain better tomorrow.
When we hang out.

I'm seriously pissed off for you.
If you ever need to runaway to my house,
you're more then welcome.
That's the shittiest thing anyone could say.
Especially a parent.
That's just messed up.

Luckily for you,
You can change everything in your life.
You can accept what he says -
Or you can refuse it and make your life amazing because you want it to be.
Don't be your fathers statistic.
And obviously he's got some fucking issues he needs to sort out with his own life.

Don't you dare ever give up hope that your life will be amazing.
It will be.
And don't you ever give up a dream because of someone else.
No one should have any say in that part of your life but you.
