Dearest, darling f-list, I need your assistance. I'm joining the Speech and Debate team for my school this year, but I am so completely lost on where to start concerning my speeches. So I'll ask generally--

What speeches do you know of?

WHILE I MAY NOT BE OF HELP, I'll say for your own speeches, try to steer away from the really major controversal things like politics (UNLESS YOU LIKE THAT KIND OF THING THEN GO FOR IT), abortion, gay marriage, etc. Cause yeaaah backlash sucks balls.

UHHH what kind of speeches in particular do you think you'll do? You could do sales speeches? Those always seemed easiest for me, or information type speeches.

PS. OKAMI HAS NO IDEA WHAT SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAMS DO. We didn't have that at my school hurrr

THAT'S HELPFUL. ♥ And actually, we really do have to discuss things like politics and remain very aware and and. D: That's the part that I don't like. But it all depends on what kind of speech I want to deliver, so I can either go for politics, or stay out of it. /shrug

LMAO, IT'S OKAY BB. ♥♥ Believe it or not, we have a lot of free reign on our speeches. I hear you can do a certain type and then talk about thumbtacks for eight minutes, or you can do an abstract subject like love.
