Happy Friday, Lae! ... yes, I realize I promised this Thursday evening but I got a little ridiculous and tl;dr-ed about college instead. Aha... ha?
Except it's funny, because when I think of 'future', my thought process goes something like this.
Future → College → Success → Laena
Stop laughing at me, I'm not kidding. D:
It's just... well, I've read all your entries on your plans and how sometimes you may think that there's a bit of a lack thereof on occasion. But all i have to say in response to that is that if you ask me? It shouldn't really matter. Plans be damned, Lae is still Lae. And if you ask me? Lae can do absolutely anything and everything that she puts her mind to. One day you're gonna find something that'll make you unbelievably happy and go "I'm gonna pour my heart and soul into this" and then time will go on and you'll see that I'm right. I've got this horrible habit of being very arrogant with my opinions and this one is so absolutely true: Lae will succeed.
Actually, if you ask around, I bet you'll find that so many people consider you succesful as is. You're so good at reaching out to people, Lae, communicating with them and offering your pearls of wisdom, and just... Well, you know how people always mention 'that person that touched their lives and made all the difference just by being there'? I'm confident that you're that person for a lot of people. In this lifetime, I don't feel like your success can be measured by the papers you have your name on, the number of possessions you have, or the prestige of your lifestyle. It's about the people that you touch and already, you've affected so many, Lae.
I remember when we first met, eheh. Back when I was just clearing my first year of RP, I think? And that's when I joined Somarium. It's a decision that I'll never, ever regret- and I can't even begin to imagine why I would!
I think I said something of similar merit when you were looking for something to write about for your essays for law school? You've done a great thing just by making this community, Lae. You're so full of ideas and they all came to life in the form of this amazing game, where so many people have congregated and spent hours upon hours, days upon days, months upon months doing absolutely nothing but enjoying themselves. How you continue to keep it fresh and interesting and so much fun with Lari is just beyond me, but I'm supporting you every inch of the way. Somarium is my home away from home, as it's become for a lot of people I'm sure, and I could never imagine leaving it. You're simply never going to get rid of me!
To be fair, that's probably more of a benefit to me than you a fair amount of the time, heh. There have been more times than I can count on one hand that you've taken the time out of your hectic life to lend me a hand just when I felt like I needed someone most. Maybe that's just the kind of person you are? Either way I consider myself unbelievably lucky to be able to say that you're my friend. I can only begin to hope that I can try to repay even the smallest fraction of the debt I owe to you.
So I guess until then, I'll content myself with helping you out in small ways. Passing on messages, leaving the occasional comment with what little experience I have, or doing small RP-related things. And you know, maybe I'll complain, but... know that I'm really happy to do things for you, Lae, and try to take a few things off your load.
SO UH. Before this gets any sappier or incoherent...
