Day 5 (July 9th)-Top 5 favorite HP fanfics
Only 5?!? This was ridiculously hard, but here are my final choices, in no particular order, because it was hard enough to pick just 5. LOL
What a Witch Needs by Petalsoft (H/R/Hr/D) - Hermione, Harry, and Draco find their fates bound together as the past can no longer be concealed and dark secrets are revealed.
This was the first fanfic I ever read and it got me completely and totally hooked. I remember staying up until 2:00-3:00am because I just could not stop reading.
Bound by Duty by SoftObsidian24 (H/R/Hr/D) - Hermione has a chance to do what Lily failed to do. Will she accept her fate? Will the men in her life accept theirs?
This is one of the few WIP I ever actually stuck with until the end, even though the author did turn Dumbledore into a meanie-head. :p LOL The plot had me right from the beginning, and the twists and turns it took always kept me intrigued. And I'm not just saying that because the author is awesome. =)
Secrets by Vorabiza (H/D) - Beginning with Draco's unexpected arrival at the Dursleys, Harry's summer after sixth year becomes filled with activity and many secrets. As his summer progresses, Harry generates several unexpected allies as he finds himself actively becoming the leader of the Light side.
Freakin' awesome. I don't even know what else to say. The characters were incredible (Snape rocked!), the plot was amazing, I just loved it.
For My Darling Harry by oldenuf2nobetter (H/D) - Sometimes, following your heart can lead to gifts you'd not expected.
This is the closure I wish Harry had gotten in the books. So touching and emotional, it brings a tear to my eye every time I read it.
A Reckless Frame of Mind by Lomonaaeren (H/D) - First in a series of two. Draco is a Psyche-Diver, and his newest patient is Auror Potter, who’s been a pathological liar for over a year-and has just tried to violently end his own life. & A Determined Frame of Mind Sequel to 'A Reckless Frame of Mind.' Draco and Harry now face the might of the Ministry in an attempt to discover who cast the Cassandra Curse on Harry. Add in Harry’s trust problems, and it’s a good thing Draco’s confident.
This author is amazing. The descriptions of the mind in this fic just blew me away. And yes, I realize I cheated by posting two at the same time, but I don't care. =)
