I am not dead.

Man, it's always rough getting back into the LJ swing of things after being away for so long. I honestly don't know what's been keeping me from posting. I certainly have had my fair share of online time in the past few weeks. And I always figured that once a baby was on board, I'd be posting like a crazy woman. Sadly, it seems to be the opposite. it wasn't till after we found out the sex of the baby that i started to feel more of a connection. & once we chose a name he became more real. when the ultrasound shows a real little person it's just so odd at first. even now i still have my moments of "there is this alien inside me" & i'm due in 6 wks!
none of my friends have kids either. i'm not worried about him having friends. there will be plenty of time to find things for him to experience socially. most of my girlfriends don't want kids & say they are living vicariously though me. they laugh at all the stuff i tell them.

Did you find out the sex around 20 weeks? Some people I know found out at 16-18 weeks, sometimes less so I was depressed that my doc is making me wait until 20 weeks, lol.

we found out around 17 wks. we went in for a wellness ultrasound to check up on his organ development & after a bit of wiggling him around he showed us his little weeny!

I feel like a million RL/baby posts would be uninteresting.
No not at all! Spill! :P Having a baby is one of the most exciting times.

I'm glad you and the baby are healthy! My friend at work is 3 months in with diabeties and it's kind of scary with that disease. I'm always watching her at work and doing stuff for her to make sure she stays ok.

I haven't seen that dollhouse episode. Now I'm kind of scared to watch it. I had no idea it revealed so much.

That does sound scary! I hope everything turns out okay for her!

And yes, it reveals A LOT. Watch at your own risk. Again, most of the internet world loved the ep, so apparently it effects people in different ways.

Well, knowing Joss, Epitaph One is only one possible future. Especially since it will never air, it's only a what-if now. Just my 2 cents.

See, that's what I was hoping (praying) for. But Joss confirmed a few times recently that the episode is canon and this is the future that the series will lead up to. Depressing!

What I read is that he was keeping elements of it in mind, and that's basically how he phrased it in a video interview. It all sounded very general, vs a "it's going to be exactly what you saw" kind of explanation.

Annoying: http://scifiwire.com/2009/08/how-dollhouses-lost-episo.php

I hope there's a way to change the ending...

I want to hear about the baby! Please, feel free to talk about your pregnancy. :)

Where did you watch that episode? Did you have to buy the DVD, or did you find it online?
