Speculation including promotional blurbs -- avoid if you don't want to knowschwarmerei1April 29 2014, 20:51:37 UTC
In case anyone can be bothered speculating, there's multiple versions of the promo blurb for the finale around.
Here's the "official" one in the press release: “A Weird Year” - An open feed from a camera mistakenly left on after a teleconferenced deposition between the lawyers of Florrick/Agos and Lockhart/Gardner reveals a threat to the firm that Alicia and Cary never saw coming. Meanwhile, the fate of Lockhart/Gardner hangs in the balance as Louis Canning vies for a larger role. Also, Alicia entrusts Zach’s high school graduation party to Jackie and Veronica, on the fifth season finale of THE GOOD WIFE,
This was online at the Orlando Sentinel a few days ago: Consider this tease from CBS about "The Good Wife": "Eli (Alan Cumming) asks Alicia (Julianna Margulies) if she would consider running for state attorney. Meanwhile, Louis Canning (guest star Michael J. Fox) tells Diane (Christine Baranski) that if he is not named managing partner of Lockhart/Gardner he'll move to dissolve the firm, which prompts Diane to seek employment at

NortheastCasey here. Janey, I hear ya! I'm new, too, and catching up, and totally heart this ship, and was totally stumped til I found sweetjamielee's Webular Island of Better Pretending. (The current show is currently a way worse pretend version.)
Obvs I'm a newbie, but, having been a courier in Hollywood during college, this sure looks like the titular star panicking about being "Fonzied," as it is called. To Ron Howard's credit, when an intended minor character captured the audience's imagination on a show written just for RH, he accepted it and said, ok, just don't change the name from "Happy Days" to "The Fonzie Show." Such grace and good sense are rare indeed. RH gets lots more royalties bc he didnt fight his star vehicle becoming a team show and so it ran forever.
How long is TGW going to last if things don't change superquicklike? Not very.

Hello Janey! Glad to see you made it over here from FFnet. For lamenting with full despair over the state of Kalicia and Kalinda, this really is the place to be.
I only got into TG W a montH ago and have watched them all on Netflix UK. I have also managed to see them all on CBS instead of watching on UK TV where we are about to watch episode 13.
Heh. What is that? 119 episodes in 30 days? :D I bet it was fun!
why don't interviewers ever ask the hard questions?
To be fair, I think Jace Lacob (formerly of Daily Beast / Newsweek, currently of Buzzfeed) has, but he hasn't gotten an answer he can print. He faithfully makes sure to mention the bizarre absence of Kalicia in every article bless him. He talks TGW on Twitter pretty often, a new voice asking him what the hell is going on couldn't hurt. (I'm surprised he even replies to me at this point!)
Ausiello also proved to be something of an Archie ally when the JM gloating happened. It might be worth pestering him...

I snorted at this! And truly, at the moment the fic realm really is doing a better job of Kalinda (let alone Kalicia) than the show.

In the meantime keep writing fanfic...

I feel like this is very typical of TGW, really. We get a few great episodes in a row and then one that bores me completely. Sigh.
