“Mmmhmm,” he responds, tracing her leg with his index finger. It’s distracting, so Alicia swats his hand away.

“There’s this dinner thing,” she says, a little more firmly this time, trying to get Will to pay attention to her. Maybe I should’ve put more clothes on before I asked him about this. “Anyway, it’s an influential women in Chicago dinner, and it’s all fancy and I know you hate these things, but

Tee hee :) I love living in these little snippets of what could have/should have been for them. If any character has ever truly deserved happiness, it's Alicia, and I hate that at least this version of her happiness was shattered.
