Loyalty is a great word to define Kalinda’s character indeed. And just after loyalty to Alicia then Will, comes Diane. It’s kind of poetic justice to find K taking Alicia’s office after she leaves… I like the way you imagine Cary stepping up then getting frustrated and going somewhere else! Poor Cary in season 1 and 2 was following K around like a puppy hoping (in vain) for a pat ^^

Isn't it just? The prompt just screamed for this. Alicia would totally have asked Diane to give Kalinda a chance before leaving (Diane would have done so anyway) and I can just see Cary getting to the point of 'Oh for fuck sake' about never getting his girl and walking out... Cary is such a kicked puppy in the early seasons, I felt slightly sorry for him.
