Ok, this isn't beta'd at all or anything, and it kind of strays from the prompt a bit. This song also gets mentioned quite a bit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnKFIp7CahY

Maurice Ravel

She doesn’t know what to say so she brings him albums.

First Ravel, because Jeux D’eau makes her cry and if she’s having some private time with him she wants to bury her apprehension under the guise of arpeggio. She knows he’s more of a heavy strings guy and that she should have sprung for something a little less romantic like Wagner or Prokofiev. Perhaps tomorrow.

It’s been a week and he’s still unconscious. She plays him Going to California tangling their fingers together wishing that’s what they were doing. The pragmatist in her has taken a leave of absence. A sabbatical with no return in sight. Though a welcome distraction, it is also nerve wracking. Is he going to die? Maybe? No. Yes, well, yes it’s entirely a possibility… Her visions of hope are clouded ( ... )

“Mr. Gardner? Ms. Florrick?” The doctor knocks on the door of his room. Thank God. She sighs. Will’s eyes flutter open ( ... )

Oh. Oh. This is so lovely. Ravel was a marvelous choice (one of my favorite pieces!) "Did you bring more Ravel?" Gah. That killed me. And the part where she thinks about the good things, like the way he still smells the same and the lines on his face and his hands and, oh, everything. So sweet. "She thinks he is asleep, but he takes her cheek in his palm, and smiles. 'I missed you.'"

Cartoon carnation hearts are totally floating above my head right now.

D'aww, you're making me blush!

I've been on such a Ravel kick these last few weeks. La Valse. Oh MAN. I've also been shamelessly obsessed with Martha Argerich recently, hence working in a little Prokofiev ;)

Glad you enjoyed it~

Very poetic fic, it made me feel for Alicia although I’ve been hating her for three seasons! I love how she uses music to deal with her emotions, it’s beautiful. See Alicia, music and love make you a better person: you know what you have to do! ^^

Thank you for writing!

This was lovely. Sweet, and a new angle on the Will-survives concept -- it felt very real to me. It's funny, before this ficathon I was all Kalicia all the time but several people (VERY much including you!!) have done such a nice job with Willicia stuff that I'm reading and enjoying it. I'm a pretty exclusive shipper, so -- great job!
