They were both silent for a few minutes, just waiting, Elsbeth softly humming and tapping her foot in time with the melody in her voice. It was unsettling

So it may be random, but it totally works! You have Elsbeth down really well, which can be challenging as she's such an all over the place character. I could totally buy that somehow in working with Alicia and then Will she'd noticed something between K&A, she picks up on small things like that without letting on.
Loved: If she went inside she’d miss her cab. But more importantly, retreat could be seen as a sign of weakness. as it particularly screamed Kalinda.

Oh, how much do I ADORE this? Firstly, I have a severe smartkookyamazing person crush on Elsbeth, and you've portrayed her fantastically here. Secondly, other characters recognizing Kalinda's EPIC TRAGIC LOVE and confronting either her or Alicia is one of my favorite TGW narrative kinks. I never thought about it being Elspeth before, but I *do* think she'd be sly and astute enough to pick up on something like that. And the fact that Kalinda TAKES HER ADVICE, God, smiling like an idiot here. In any case, it all worked perfectly, and I would never, ever turn down more.
Also and fyi, I had to Google "Slow Loris," and ended up spending 20 minutes gawking at pictures of those things. I'll never again be able to un-associate them with Elspeth Tascioni, so thanks for that.:)

Ooh, I really like this! I love how even though Elsbeth didn't notice that there's noooooot really anywhere for Kalinda to be stashing an umbrella, she did pick up on her *thing* with Alicia. That rings true to me -- she may be totally oblivious most of the time, but she's very perceptive about the big things.
Also, the contrast between Kalinda's silence and Elsbeth's, um, non-silence made me laugh. I would KILL to see a scene with them together.

Oooh, this was great! Definitely would like a follow-up, and my preference would be what K says to A at the apartment.
Loved how you caught Elbeth's voice so well, as well as her ditziness combined with laser sharp perception. And I'm another who loves the idea of someone figuring out K's hidden feelings, plus I now want a whole episode of K being forced to work with Elsbeth and not getting a word in edgeways.

Random, but such fun to read! And totally what I want to happen, if anyone, she would call Kalinda out on her epic love for Alicia. *LOVE!*
So it is Elsbeth then? Not Elspeth? (Tascioni, Tasccione?) *goes around in circles and settles down and pouts* I don't like it when I (and others) don't know the correct spelling of character names.

"The whole interaction had been erratic and unpredictable; Kalinda was unnerved." I love that Kalinda is unnerved by noone except for Elsbeth because she's so unperdictable, and you know how Kalinda thinks everyone is perdictable, especially Alicia, haha.
Anyway, thanks for writing this. I can totally see the two of them interacting now, wish we get to see it on the show sometime. And more Elsbeth in fics would be amazing but she's so hard to write so bravo!!!
